Default 295/60R20 Leveled 05 4X4

I think I have read thru the wheel fitment guide thread 3 times (yes all those pages) and looked online for the past 6 months cant wait til I stop spending all my time looking for wheels/tires and researching wheels/tires.

Trying to see if anybody can help me out before I make the purchase. I have an 05 4X4 XLT SCREW. I need new tires and I had a local shop put some 275/65R20 on and there was no rubbing, it came kinda close on the back of the front wheels but still had room. My current wheels are 20X9 with a 0 offset. I know most say you need to be at 18-20 on the offset to run the 295. The tires I will be buying are used so no way to do a test fit. Since the 295/60 is shorter and wider I think I might be able to get away with it.
Also the 295/60 would be Nitto Trail which seem to be the bigger actual size of most 295.

Anyway any help or insight greatly appreciated.

Anybody know if it will rub with a 0 offset? I think the Nitto Trail Grapplers are a little bigger then most in that size, even bigger then the Toyo Open Country MT.

Trying to pull the trigger on some 295/60R20 Nitto Trail Grappler for my truck, anybody have any in site if they will rub or not. I think I would be fine with the Toyo MT (34.2" 11.8") since they are a little smaller then the Nitto's Trail (34.45 X12.13"). HELP HELP I want to get this done in a couple of days.

They will definitely rub, but that is to be expected when you increase the size of your tire and the offset and put a tire on with significantly larger lugs than a highway tire. You either trim to fit or run a smaller tire.

Sorry I should have been more specific, rub as in rub the metal. The plastic I can deal with, I just dont want to be cutting or pounding up the metal on my truck.

your not going to rub your UCA... but with zero off set you may rub the back side of your fender well and need to trim the bottom of your front valance. the trails are 295/60/20 = 34.45 X 12.13 on a 9" wheel

Thanks so much, I figured that was what was going to happen, just wanted somebody else to point it out also. Those Nitto Trails are bigger, Looks like I could get the Toyo in there since its smaller of the two 295/60R20.

When they put the 275/65R20 I cleared all the way around and had just an inch or so at full lock before I would hit the rear of the fender. I had no rubbing in the front but I think the previous owner cut out all the plastic in the front.

Anybody have any better ideas to get a little wider then the 275, but to also fill up the wheel well?

Anybody know or think the 295/60R20 Toyo MT will work since it's smaller than the Nitto Trails?
