285's

285's
I bought the AS 2 1/2 leveling kit and am looking for a wider, taller tire than the stock 275/65/18. Every tire place I talk to says the 285 is the widest I can go on the stock 7.5 rim. Anyone running any 285's?

i am running 285/70x17 Bridgestone Dueler Revo's. I have stock wheels with no lift or level. They fit fine and no one gave me grief about the size on the rim. One guy told me that they would not fit under the truck.
P.S.
Like the tires, bit pricey but they grip GREAT wet or dry. Only thing i don't like is the weight rating, they tend to look squished alot and not sure how they would do if you tow alot.

I too have 285/70/17 Revo's(great tire) and they fit fine with the stock BS and no leveling kit. Looked a lot better with the 2" AS Leveling kit. The tires are around 11.22 inches wide. 285/65/18 have the same width as mine and I dont see why they wouldnt fit your stock wheels.
