I wouldn't take a Chevy volt even if they were just giving them away.... That car is symbolic of the communist style interventionism the government and all other 3 letter agency's are trying to use to strong arm freedom into a dictatorship... Whats worse then the volt? The fact that a lot of people think it was a good idea to bail out a company that was dying because they made terrible, costly decisions.

I own one vehicle from each of the Big Three: Ford, Jeep, and Cadillac, so I'm not biased on that front. I do agree with you, but would buy a Volt if I had a nasty commute and was faced with a choice of Volt versus a Prius or the fugliest car on the planet - Nissan Leaf.

I don't buy Asian cars/trucks - period; even if the cr** is assembled on our soil. My TVs are not even Asian; they're Dutch (though probably manufactured in Thailand or Vietnam).

If you look underneath the truck you can see the trap door his feet pop out of to power it Fred flintstone style. And behind that lies the pedal system for when you need some power

I had a 1996 Chevy S-10 with a 4-banger, 5-speed manual, and little donut tires. Now that thing got 26 mpg highway, but this guy is seriously delusional.
