If he still has the 3.55 gears and 40" tires, then I could see 18-20 mpg at 55 on the open road with a tail wind.
I get 20mpg in my truck with a stroked, blown, 18-1compression 4.6l with 44" mud hawgs on 26"dubs with a 20" lift at 120mph every day of the week...lol

He gave me a helmet that's wired to the obd2 port to wear when I drive it... It supposedly telekinetically transports me where ever I think I want to go... But for some reason smoke comes out of the vents and I fall asleep every time I put it on. Then their is a bill from a towing company on my lap when I awake at my destination. I probably shouldn't have bought this truck from a kid in a white lab coat.

I understand why Ford is marketing the EcoBoost as efficient - in light of the Ranger going away and to tout the new technology versus the competition. However, why the hell would a person advertise a used truck and highlight the gas mileage? It's just asking people to fixate on what is viewed as a negative by a large portion of the buyer pool, though maybe there's somebody stupid enough to take the claim at face value [just answered my own question].
My Jeep gets terrible gas mileage and so does my truck; heck my car gets 15mpg too. I knew that before I bought them and it doesn't bother me in the scheme of life. I'd buy a Chevy Volt if I wanted to get great MPG, but then I'd be bored to tears and I like driving too much.
