My 08 super crew rear doors may be having an issue.

When I drive the truck all the doors lock like they should, but when I stop and someone tries to get out of the back the person pulls the handle but it will not unlock the door, I can unlock them from the door or the remote and then they can open the door.

When the child safety lock is on they can not open the door at all from the inside even when the doors are unlocked.

I took my truck in to the dealer for an oil chance and a small punch list, the girl as the counter told me that may be be designed to work this way, but it seams anything you have something minor the dealer said it is designed to work that way so I don't know if I should believe them

does anyones super crew doors do this or can you unlock the rear doors with the handle?

Just asked my buddy with a '07 Screw and his is the same way. Unless the doors are unlocked, they are not like the front ones and open with just an interior handle pull.

I don't remember having to unlock them in the past few months for my son, until just recently.

I was just talking to my son and he now informed me that he would pull the lock up and then open the door.

what got me paying attention was one day I cleaned the truck door and hit the child lock and he could not open the door, maybe they are designed to work that way.

mine is the same thing it a real pita for rear passengers

Just hit the unlock button when you turn the truck off. I would make it more of a PITA for myself before my passengers (if you can consider hitting a button a PITA).
