2008 STX wont start
Hey guys new to the forum. I have a 2008 STX 4.6 that was making a grinding sound when I started it. I took it to the dealership and of course they couldn't duplicate the noise. They had it for 2 days and started it over 30 times and it didn't make the noise. Yesterday I came home from fishing and backed the boat in and went to start the truck and all I got was a clicking sound behind the glove box.I called ford roadside assistance and arranged for towing. The tow truck arrived the next morning and the truck started every time he turned the key. I replaced the battery last fall so it's fairly new. Any idea why it would start after sitting overnight? Thanks for any input.

Check your starter ground and the relay wiring connection at your starter. I had a taurus that exhibited the same syptoms as yours. The electrical connection was corroded, giving intermittant starting
