Default 2008 STX Radiator drain plug. (Petcock)

I have a 2008 F150 STX, with the 4.6 2v Romeo engine. I recently had to change my upper coolant hose, so I opened up the drain plug to get some of the coolant down enough to change the hose without making a mess. Well because the tab on the plug was already chewed up from pliers grabbing it in the past, the tab broke off. I have tried everywhere to find it, but no luck. Everywhere i go, whether its a parts store or online, keeps telling me its a Dorman replacement...but it looks nothing like mine. I removed mine totally, and self tapped a screw into it with epoxy, just so i could at least screw it back in for now. No leaks, so im good, but i would love to get a new one to have ready to swap next time i drain coolant. I did not take a picture of it, and i wish i did now, but i know what it looks like. Any help locating one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is it threaded? If so, take it with you to a good hardware store such as Ace, and match it up to a brass bolt with a washer.

Bucko,
No it's not threaded. I was going to do just that if it was. It's more of a twist lock type plug with an O-ring.

Bummer.'s bee awhile since I crawled under and drained a radiator using its pedcock. As pas6469 mentioned, I disconnect the lower hose to get it to drain faster. A wide bucket will capture it.
