Default 2008 F150 Speaker Size?

Sooo in my pickup I have one of the FX4 packages that also gives you the factory subwoofer under the backseat. I've already decided that the old sub needs to go and the new sub will probably beg some new speakers to come with it. Before I start ripping my door panel apart, does anybody know what size speakers they will be? I've heard 6x8 from a lot of sites but I can't find anywhere that confirms or denies that the package that got me the subwoofer also made the speakers 6x9's? Or something to that effect?

Thanks guys

Crutchfield sells the 6x8 speakers. You can go on there and input your trucks make, model, ect and it will list all the speakers that fit. I went with Boston Acoustics 6X8 in all four doors. I think all 4 were like $140 and they sound great. There are plenty of good speakers to choose from on there depending what your budget is.

It should be 6x8 or 5x7's.. either or... I used to have some higher end Eclipse 5x7 components and they were amazing speakers!!

They are 6x8 in all four doors, I did mine about a month ago. Front panels are harder to take off then the back I found out just can't remember why but all in all it's a fairly simple task.

Go to Crutchfield.com and you can use the site to input your vehicle like a previous poster mentioned.
I would suggest going with a component speaker because as you know the speakers are next to you knees, and there is a spot in the front door panel that will fit a tweeter. And the front door, if all you are doing is a speaker swap, I have an scab and it is much harder replacing the rear speakers. But, Crutchfield will give you written directons on how to remove/install your new speakers. Before you buy online, call one of the sales consultants and tell them what amp and head unit you will be using and they will help you with your decision. I was leery but they saved me $$ and sold me something lower priced. Go figure
Check the forum audio sticky too before you do your project.
