Post 2008 F150 - lift size?

Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie from West Virginia and new to the site. I recently traded my Ford Fusion for my now 2008 F150 XLT. I still have my 2000 F150, decided to stick with owning 2 trucks. But mostly I'm going to be asking questions about what peoples opinions are on modifying my 08 truck. First one I have is I'm stuck on what size lift I want, I'm thinking between a 3"-4" with 35" tires. It's a Supercrew-6' bed. I'm not looking for an over the top look, but a nice, tough, complementary look. Any responses are greatly appreciated!

Nice truck Stephanie, you can level your truck 2 1/2 inches and go with a 34 or 35 inch tire on the stock wheels or go with a 4" Rancho suspension lift that let's you use the stock wheel's and up to 35 inch tires. Saves a little money from not having to buy new wheels at the same time. Toyo, Nitto and some other 's make a 295x70x17, a 285x75x17 and a 305x70x17 that are considered 34 inch tires. A 35x12.5x17 or 315x70x17 would be the max size you could run. Welcome to the site too!

First off, welcome to the site. You will find loads of knowledge on this forum about your truck and mods you would like to do.

Rancho is your best bet for a 4inch lift thats complete.Rough country makes a 4inch also, but cannot use your stock wheels. You will easily clear 35's with a 4inch lift.Like Paw Paw said, you can clear 34-35's with just a leveling kit,and just have minor rubbing if any with your stock wheels.Depends on the tire also.Again welcome to the site

I have those same wheels that you have on your 08 with 34.6's on mine with Kumo road venture Mt's,and i clear them fine.
