I'm wondering if F-150's are pre wired and all they have to do is replace the tail gate handle where the camera is, the rear view mirror, and then tie it into the transmission.

Hi JCP,

Where did you get your undercoating done? My husband and I just bought our first truck and I know he wants to get a spray bedliner and I want to get hubby a nice accessory for his birthday...he really liked the reverse camera option but they didn't have any supercrews left with that option.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

If you want the best spray in liner get the Line-X. Everything else is not even close. They can even color match if you upgrade. GO to the line-x website and locate the dealers around you and have them quote you and price them against each other. There are alot of deals right now.

I have to respectfully disagree, a spray in comes down to who puts it in. I have had 3 different spray ins, Rhino, Line-x, and...I forget the one that was in my 3rd...Line-x has really been the worst so far. Im not saying the product is bad, im saying the guy that put it on didnt do a good job or had a bad batch. I will be taking it in to have it fixed probably this summer. It has already chipped all over the place and looks worse after exactly 1 year now than my rhino does that is 9 years old and is used a lot more often, the rhino takes chemicals, and skids much better than the line-x did. Like i said though, im blaming to on the applicator, not the product.

You have to be right about the installer because Line-X cannot chip under normal conditions. It is used in bomb proofing applications for federal buildings and is as hard as a liner can get. I have seen it aplied to boats, Motorhomes, etc and it is still bright and solid. As for the Rhino?? That stuff peels off like flaky skin and dulls out in less than a year on several different peoples trucks, campers, atv's that I have seen from California, Utah, Arizona, and Ohio not just here. Rhino is past it's time and is outdated.

But, as you said even a good product can be ruined by a dumba** who doesn't know what he is doing.

Yeah I know, like a said, Rhino is out of date but it did pave the way. My rhino is about 9 years old now, had it installed the day after we bought our 99 F350 7.3 and it really has not flaked off at all...It is extremly faded and a litle warped due to the bed being dented with all the crap that has been put on it, has had plenty of muratic acid, bleach, and chlorine spilt on it but my rhino has held up one heck of a lot better then this line-x is. We regularly put #3500 skids on it and it still works. My line-x is not ont a work truck and it was through a dealership repair place...So not sure what happened.

Ill try to take some pics for you tomorrow. Been sick as a dog all day

Ohhhhh yeah, it was put on a dodge though...That may be why lol

I got my undercoating done at a place in Hopkins, MN called Dealer Automotive Services. http://www.dealerautomotive.com/

For a bedliner, I've had both the spray in, and this one I really like now, called a Bedrug. http://www.bedrug.com/

With the spray in, it is an irreversible decision, where the Bed rug is removable.

Good luck

That bed rug looks pretty nice, I dont think it would work real well where I live though, Its always windy and there is always sand in the wind...It would be a pain to maintain unless you had a bed cover, then I think it would work pretty nice, just pop the cover off anytime you went out to a tail gate or something.

Sin...Was it the dodge comment? I had to edit the post and add that. It just kind of came to me

You know Rhino makes a liquid product to refresh the color of your bed liner right? I forgot the name of it, but it is a permanent stain that must be applid with gloves. It is a miracle worker! Like new....
