Cool 2008 F150 Feedback

I am an F150 fan. I had a 2002 F150 FX4 until a guy in an Oldsmobile rear ended me and destroyed the frame.

I am finally able to afford a second vehicle again and I'm considering F150. I have found one in particular that I like but has 141K miles on it. One of my questions is what mileage is F150 rated for? I know the BMW I had at tone point was not truly 'broken in' until nearly 300K miles, they are meant to last.

Anyway, here are the two trucks I'm considering and I welcome any opinions, feedback, etc:

I am leaning toward the blue one because of cost and I like the look and features of it more. The white one has lower miles and is nice as well.

Both are nice looking rides, but I definitely prefer the looks of the Blue one. The 5.4 is all about maintenance and you will find tons of posts on here about what to look for. Cam Phasers, Exhaust Manifold issues, IWE's, etc. Depending on the buid date you might be OK on spark plugs if both are '08s, but I would want to make sure they'vle been changed if they haven't been yet.

If you are looking at a truck with a big lift like the blue one, check the gear ratio. If that truck has been rolling 35's for 100K miles that tranny is most likely about ready to die. I can't imagine the strain its going through on stock gears rollin those wheels/tires.

And im bias towards 6'6 beds and white trucks! :P

The blue truck is leather with no center shift and the white truck is cloth with center shift. Now that sucks.

Default Mileage

thanks for the pointers. I searched the forum but are there guidelines or benchmarks for what mileage these trucks are good for? My 02 was a 5.4 and so reliable. I never had an issue.

I look forward to having a truck again.

Default Its gone..

They were only asking $18,995. I just got called back and they said it already gone! I am so bummed!
