Also, 4.88's are a must for 37's or 38's. The programmer made a big difference for me but you will toast your tranny without regearing

Are you running a 6 or 7 stretched to 9 or a 6+3?

He said he had a 6" suspension and 3" body

I've put 38x15.50 grapplers on a F350 powerstroke. I don't think a F150 can handle it. Unless its a road queen. They are massive rubber. They made a super crew long bed look like a baby. I just don't think you can get away with it on a 1/2 ton axle. Even in the Wrangler community anything over 37's really warrants 1 tons. And thats SFA too. If it's just for looks on the road then go for it. If your gonna mud and trail it, I would be afraid for my parts drive train and drive line.

I'm running an 8" BDS lift and have 38X15.50 trails. Some trimming was involved, I also have 20X10 not 20X12 wheels. You should definitely get gears even with the 37's, I have Yukons and I've had no issues with them. Mine has also been off road plenty and no driveline issues so far either.

Can you take some pictures of your truck and post them?

These trucks are huge. Looks great, but man, they have to be dogs with that much tire. I noticed a drop in power going to my terra grapplers with a level.
