I would say either pull the light forward and push it up into the ceiling or push it back and up in the ceiling, I forget which way

Nope tried that to. Its to spongy. If it didn't bottom out so fast on the ceiling it would snap in place. Like I said if I knew the whole light assembly pops out I would do that snap the lens in place then push the whole assembly into the headliner..
