Default 2008 2.5 leveling kit. biggest tire size w/ stock rimes

I have a 2008 4x4 crew cab. I know this has been talked about before but i want to know. What is the biggest tire size i can put on my stock 17 inch rims with a 2.5 inch leveling kit WITHOUT rubbing.

I have 315/70/17 with two inch level and my rims are really close to stock specs. The issue is the width of the tire on the 7.5 inch wide stock rim. I would suggest 285/75/17 if you want a taller tire on stock rims or up to 295/70/17 which is just over 33. The 35s will fit but may require a spacer to avoid rubbing control arms as the width will cause issues.

So if i came across a set of p285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers with 1000 miles on them for $650.00 it would be a fair price. The guy needs LT tires instead of P tires. I know these will be a little shorter since they are not 75s but it seems like a fair enough deal

No...you don't want "P" rated tires either....P= passenger you want LT= light truck...

Really depends on if you haul it tow a good amount of weight. If ya don't haul a ton of stuff or pull a heavy trailer. The P tires will suit just fine.

35x12.50.20 on a 2.5 level. 1/4" wheel spacer. Only slight rub at full lock on sway bar.

Cool thanks for the info i appreciate everyone taking the time to explain it to me. I knew if i googled it long enough i would find the answers I'm looking for. Its easier to ask regardless if i look or sound stupid doesn't bother me non ha. Now i dont haul a lot of weight or pull trailers what i have pulled didnt cause me any issues with my stock 255/70/r17s.
