Default 2007 XLT blackout project

Wanted to introduce myself and show you what I'm workin with. Since picking it up about 3 weeks ago I have been all over this site finding tons of valuable information so want to thank everyone for that. It is a 2007 XLT Flareside Supercrew with the 6.5' bed.

This is what it looked like when I bought it. Already had the ballistic wheels and a black inner grill.

So far...35/10% Tint. Plasti-dipped badges, Night Shade tails (3 coats), blacked out grill. My bumpers are off getting Line-exed right now and I can pick them up tomorrow. I used bedliner spray for the grill surround and it worked great. I also took off the plastic steps by the flareside and hit them with the bedliner and they don't look dull and faded anymore. I am going to take off all of the faded panels and cover them to restore the black look.

I am going to be ordering N-fab wheel to wheels, some sort of quality seat covers for the cloth seats once I decide on the best option, new set of headlights that have the black housing and want to upgrade the lights. Let me know what you guys think.

I got my bumpers back from Line-X. Took longer than they originally told me but I am just happy to have them back. I got the rear bumper on and I love it. The front bumper gave me some problems but it will be going back on tonight. I just ordered a 6000k HID kit that I will try and install this weekend.

Murdered turcks arent my thing but it's looking good. Plasti-dip the wheels so that the polished parts don't show, and get that paint detailed, I can see the swirls from here lol

Any advice on a nice set of projectors? I want to get some with a black housing and possibly the halo's or led's. I know the blacked out look isn't for everyone but I have always loved it. I blacked out my civic when I was 16 and have been waiting to do it to a truck ever since. I just finished bolting up the front bumper and it looks mean. I will get some pictures up in the morning.

You can't buy HID projectors in a headlight already. The Recons and what not are all halogen projectors. They control the glare a little better, but it's still there. A true HID projector is no glare at all.

But I'm not about to jump down anyone's throat for not using proper projectors and what not. I don't, and I don't have any issues

Thanks Scobar. I have been sifting through all of the HID and projector headlight threads but that is exactly what I needed.
