Default 2007 a pillar grab handle

Climbing into my buddies ford and broke the a-pillar grab handle. He has the late model 2007 where the handle was molded into the a-pillar on that fx4 package. Do I have to replace that entire pillar or is there hardware on the back that can be replaced? He had to leave so I didn't have time to pull it apart. Need to know what to order. PS I searched and no one was clear on what part to replace or a part number and what a weak part I am only a buck 80.

Thanks all!

My Son broke off my drivers side handle...do not know how because, like stated above.. i pulled on it every day and weight 240 lbs... I pulled it apart and used some glue and a tad bit longer screws...seems to be holding good for now.. to fix it right you will need to order the whole thing.

I'm 420lbs and I use mine daily, several times a day and it's solid as a rock. How the f*** do these break off?

Also, why would you charge a friend to repair something that broke on your truck from normal use? **** happens, man up and pay the repair your damn self. He should just be glad you didn't get injured due to it breaking.

In my 06 F150, both handles broke this summer. I have been blaming the heat in ABQ. With the road tar melting, the plastic handles on the 04-08 didn't stand a chance without any metal support. (Older F150 models had metal cores for the grab handles.) Checked the salvage yards in town, without luck.

How did the glue fix work out? Did it stand the test of time or is there a better solution out there?

Thanks!
