Default 2007 F150 TPMS sensor questions

I was wondering if the newer TPMS sensors that come on a 2012 F150 would work on a 2007 F150? I have 22 inch rims and when I bought aftermarket bands they ended up coming apart and destroying my tires. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks
