Default 2007 F150 5.4 new engine recommendation

I currently have a 2007 Ford Truck F150 1/2 ton P/U 4WD 5.4L Flex Fuel 8cyl and have a lot of issues with the motor, already replaced cam phasers, timing, and several other items.

Now the time has come where I am deciding to put a new engine, since the current one is 201,000 miles and running like crap due to crankshaft messing up and other issues.

I have checked out Autozone and few other places but only place that seems to have great reviews is Jasper engines, just wanted to know if anyone had any luck with them or another recommendation.

For God's sake, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT get a reman engine from autozone, advance, orielly's, napa, etc. They use Surefire/Spartan, and they are impossible to deal with and very low quality. Sent me a cylinder head with the wrong cam in it, which caused some major damage, and they wouldn't pay a dime for it. 100% entirely their fault.

I've seen good things about jasper engines, but I didn't like that you have to have it installed by one of their approved shops. I see where they're coming from, but I'm a DIY guy.

Honestly, I'd spend the money and buy a crate engine straight from Ford. Great warranty, less headache.

Ok to answer some questions, well Ford is wanting 5100 plus for a engine from them

Mechanic is recommending autozone engine. So to go with that recommendation isnt really sitting well with me.

My concern is I get engine that is faulty they are going to try and give me difficulties saying it wasnt installed right or some b.s.

Jasper Engine seems reasonable at 3500 and 3 year warranty.

I am not sure what you mean about LS Swap

read the warranty... this is if it is installed by a certified mechanic.

Yes I do plan on checking if they a certified mechanic to do it, the going rate for labor seems 900, hopefully this certified mechanic is not more.

I did find another place that can give a 3 year warranty with a new engine for 3500 for sales guy had no info on the motor.

AS WELL IT SHOULDN'T! I'm telling you, you'll regret it.

If you have a Jasper installer nearby, see what they can do for you. The way I see it, given the week of research I did (prior to finding my thrown valve didn't do any damage to the cylinder wall), a Ford crate engine or Jasper + install are the only way to go.

However the Powertrain Products above doesn't seem like a bad option, assuming you can find some decent reviews on their customer service/warranty.
