The solenoid on the 04-08 trucks are on the starter itself, which is supposedly working. I may just go ahead and put a new starter on it this weekend.

Okay, then my next guess is the safety neutral switch. I saw where you said "tried putting it in neutral and nothing happened".

I'd say ignition switch or bad selector switch. Sometimes my truck does this, you put it in N fires right up.
