2007 F-150 2 wheel drive - strange noise during left steering
any suggestions for this Guys? when driving down the road and steering left my f-150 makes a noise that sound as if you were riding in a jeep with mud grips. a slight vibration that quickly stops once you steer back to the right. i was told (Firestoned) that this was the front wheel bearing (rotor). i replaced this with a new assy. still the same thing??? i am lost on this one??

Same here
Same problem here with my 4x4 2007 supercab.
At firts I thought it was inadequate tire balancing, but that didn't fix the rumbling or slight vibration felt at the wheel.
It's not either the 4H engaged, as I tested it in wet grass (actually the rumbling noise is a bit like that of binding).
A/C, speed, acceleration, braking, don't seem to lower the noise, only turning the wheel slightly to the right removes it.
I also appreciate any guides as to what may be and how to eliminate the noise.
Thanks!

Did you change both or just the left cause when you turn left your putting all the weight on the right side causing noise and obviously when you turn right your taking the weight off that side hence why it goes away.

I had a similar issue. It sounded a bit like metal bars twisting on eachother. LIke spokes in a bike. Mine was the wheel bearing. My left one was worn like crazy. I have a 2wd as well.

I am pretty sure it is your wheel hubs. I had this problem just a few weeks ago and it started with the right and then the left. It sounded like dragging something on concrete or a grinding/scraping noise? I just replaced both front hubs two weekends ago and did it myself. Pep boys wanted something like 2k and i did it for 225 dollars and a Sunday afternoon. Feel free to ask me and questions guys.

You were right!
You all guys were right.
A friend showed me how to determine if it's bearings: jack the car, grab the spiral and rotate the tire. The vibration and noise were easy to recognize. Will bring the truck to the garage to get them replaced. How difficult is it for a 4x4?
Thanks!

For you, you have to replace the whole hub assembly. On 06+ trucks, they put bearings inside the assembly and you cannot replace just the bearings. Do it shouldnt be too difficult.
