05 and 07 were leased, 2008 is a purchase. Just for the record, a friend of mine has an 05 and performed the processor upgrade at Livernois, and what a difference! His shift points are much better, crisper and NO rev limiter. After the tune he gained 34 horsepower at RR whls. (not bad for a bone stock 5.4), not sure on torque, I'd have to have him dig out his paperwork and see what the improvement was there also. Although I did want to give him a run for his money with my 07 for giggles, I never got around to it....Maybe with the 08. I know it is a truck and not built for drag racing, but common it IS a guy thing.

I have an 08 SC with the 5.4 and I have the following: AF1 3.5, SCT X3 tuner, and had the truck dyno tuned by Troyer Performance. During the tuning I was given lots of info on the Ford trucks. Most of them dyno around 200-208 hp. But the programming on the trucks vary widely so how they get there and "feel" are very different. I know in stock form my 08 was light years better than my son's o4. The peak was very close but between the peaks was a hugh difference. I think this is where Ford has made the improvements. OH, my mods and tune netted 44 rwhp but it sure "feels" like more. So I wouldn't worry to much about HP peaks as stated the tq on the trucks gets it done.

I now have the Roush (duel out the rear) they had them "on sale" after my dyno tune so I am not sure if I picked up any more power or not but it does sond good. I am also now getting 16.7-16.8 mpg in town and 18 - 19 mpg on the highway!

I have the AFE Stage 2 CAI and 3 inch Magnaflow SI/SO cat back exhaust. My next mod is the SCT tuner for sure!
