My dads 06 decided not to start back up after he came out of lowes. 102,000 miles on the 5.4. It's been missing a little lately when you really get on it but this is the first time it just hasn't started. Any ideas on the cause?

Mine did the same thing after I shut it off to get gas. Turned out to be the FPDM.

What exactly is the fdpm?

Fuel Pump Driver Module. Located on frame rail above spare tire. Little black box. Remove and check for corrosion where it contacts frame.

Problem solved. My dad decided to listen to the guys at his work and bought a fuel pump. Didn't fix the problem so he then decided to listen to me and when I removed the fpdm this is what we found
