Default 2006 W/ 6" Rough Country Issues

I have searched some and haven't seen anywhere that these issues have come up.
A guy I work with has a 2006 F-150 with what appears to be a 6" lift. OEM UCA and LCA look to be to close to the truck and smashing the $&@" out of the ball joints. I also noticed that his steering knuckles are rubbing the Coils, bad. When driver wheel is turned right, steering knuckle is rubbing the lca raw. Same with the passenger side turning left.

He probably tried to add a leveling kit which might cause that to happen, bad idea if so

There is a spacer on top of the coil. Thanks guys!
I was trying to figure out what could have it in a bind ! Now that ya'll say that, I feel like an idiot for not noticing it.

There should be one spacer on top of the coil, I think what they are saying is maybe someone tried to add a leveling kit to the lift kit. As in a smaller spacer with the lift kit spacer, there shouldn't be 2 spacers in there.

Okay, so the lift reuses factory coil overs, and adds a huge spacer on top to drop the coil down to the lower control arm vs using different coil overs?

I looked it up on Rough Country's website and didn't see either one in the photo. I'm going to stick it on the lift and see what's going on.

Any recommendations on stronger replacement ball joints?

If you get the geometry correct it will reduce the strain on the ball joints.. he should ace the big 6” spacer and go with some aftermarket coilovers for the 6” needed up front.

I agree^^ I have no 6" lift but went with the ICON Stage 3 on my 2015 less then a week after getting it. I will never regret it, except maybe the regret of not going with the Stage 5!

Even keeping the massive spacer, and assuming everything on there is OEM or part of that Rough Country kit (and installed properly) factory geometry should be there, so ***** joints should be fine. Like others said, sounds like a leveling spacer was places on top of the RC spacer
