Guys,
My 2006 Lariat Screw has the dealer chrome package. This means that my fuel door looks like this.



The problem I think is that this door is heavy and the hinge doesn't seem to support it well. To the point where I just noticed the paint chaffing off.



I can get my Autobody guy to fix the paint for me but what can I do to fix the problem? I haven't tried working on the door yet so I'm just in the market for your suggestions. TIA
