Default 2006 Ford F150 Lariat soon to be lifted?

I am going to be lifting this truck very soon I'd like to know 2 things.

1. I'd like to lift my truck 8". How about is the best way to do this. The one I am leaning toward is 2" body with a 6" bds lift. but I'd like other opinions on the matter..

2. I would also like to run 18" rims on 35s or 37s. I have had the stock 20" rims on 33s since I have gotten the truck where I live they always have to be ordered and would like just to switch to 18s more cost effective though with lifting really doesn't matter but the outfitters seemed to carry 35s 37s and 40s always in stock for 18s and I don't have to wait 2 weeks to get them. So is this doable or no?

I have a 2006 screw with a 6" fabtech and clear 35" nitto terra grapplers with no problems. With the 2" body you should be able to clear the 37's.

Doesn't rize make a 8 inch suspension lift? If I remember correctly it is supposed to be one of the top kits for our trucks. I'm not a fan of body lifts, and heard that they're a PIA to install on our trucks.

17" is way cheaper these days...I went from the stock 20"s like you down to 17 inch rims and saved about $400 dollars and still went to a bigger tire. I had 275/55/R20 Nitto Terra grapplers that cost around $1200 for a complete set and went to 285/65/R17 Fierce Attitude M/T's and it only cost me $850 for a complete set. Up to you...but if I were gonna go down on rim size I would go all the way to 17" and save some real money...

x2, go with a full suspension lift. 37's is the max tire size i'd go with half ton running gear.

Could just get any lift kit, use Bilsteins 6" adjustable shocks, and then either crank those to about 7.5" or put a level on top of them. This method is fine as long as you have a Fabtech, BDS, etc. that has an actual FULL 6" drop subframe.

That's the cheapest way to get to 8" and is theoretically the same as having a level on a stock truck.

RIZE lifts are on a massive back-order and are quite expensive. You could also just opt for coilovers, to the tune of an extra $1k, and crank those to 8". If you were to get a cheaper lift like the Pro Comp with coilovers, the cost between that and the basic 6" BDS wouldn't be too much. Body lifts are quite expensive to install on our trucks because they're a PITA.

Don't make any 2" body lift kits for our trucks. Only 3".

If you wanna go 8" and don't have the lift installed yet then why not just get an 8" kit?

Bds makes and 8" kit and they have a killer warranty.

You would also get a 6" and add the adjustable bilsteins depending on the kit. Make sure it's a full replacement strut and not a coil spacer lift.

^ I typed up a few sentences about the 8" BDS, checked their site to check before posting, and they don't have one listed for us anymore.
