I re-read the first post and he took it to the dealer for the spark plug job.

I'm lost.

So............ Fords initial bad design is everyone elses fault. Go figure. Talk to a lawyer for $150 bucks. Its like when a tree falls on your car and homeowners and auto ins both don't want to pay. Look over your warranty with a magnifying glass unless you already did. Fords $9k price ultimately shows their lack of integrity for their loyal customers. Kind of sounds like the cable companies . Good luck

How do they know that the correct torque specs were'nt used? Im not trashing all Ford dealers but when I took mine in they punched in my vin and said "this trucks been here before" Obviously from the previous owner so when I asked them "what for", they would'nt answer me. Talk about getting off on the wrong foot.. Are they saying you stripped them on the way in with too much torque which I find kind of hard to believe? Somethings missing from this story. Not accusing you just confused about the details

Dude, sorry to keep bothering you. Go to a mechanic you really trust and find out 100% what is really going on with your plugs. Are they stripped, are they partially still in there and not stripped etc. Did you get the whole plug out and can't re thread a new one? Sorry, Im just fired up and had a big coffee. I want you to come out of this ahead of the game. I"ll leave you alone now

And the 4.3k also included installing the supercharger that was on my last engine.

This is probably the best point in the whole thread.

Firstly I'm betting your running bad between 35-55 is definitely plugs and secondly I'm pretty sure there's a sleeve you can buy that goes into the heads where plugs have been stripped out so you wouldn't need new heads or a new motor

Yeah, there is a TSB about rethreading the head. There is an insert you can get that Ford uses if the spark plug hole is stripped.
