So I may have ****ed myself by even touching the motor. They found the warranty but since someone other than a ase mechanic touched it aka me, that voids the warranty. Long story short don't touch your car if you have a warranty. Pricey life lesson but thank god for non dealer mechanics. The smaller mechanic said he would blow that price out the water.

The warranty company says if it was done proper with the correct torque specs and all this should have never happened (saying human error). I'm getting the truck back and I am gonna see with my local shop non dealer. If they are truly stripped. Dealer told warranty company it was like that when it came in which is true but why did I buy a warranty.

yeah I'm confused... isn't warranty exactly to cover sh&t that "shouldn't happen"...
either you are not telling us the whole story, or you are getting screwed

(if it makes you feel any better, I spent $9k on an engine replacement too a few years back, different causes but same problem, dealer messed up, I didn't manage to prove it enough for the judge so I got stuck with the bill... I'm trying to forget that story but between my wife and stories like yours, it always comes back to haunt me!)

They said since it came in that way with the damaged plugs that it wasn't the dealers fault so they recommend I go to the dealer I got it(1200 mi away). I have the original dealer working with the warranty company to sort it out.

So you stripped the plug hole threads and then took it in to have it covered under warranty?
