2006 F150 Oil Pressure Gauge
2nd post, so here goes.
I have had my F150 for about 3 years with no real issues. Was taking my son to college to set up apartment and on the way home noticed that the oil pressure gauge was not working. Since I made it home I assumed it had pressure and the gauge was bad.
The dealer says it has pressure and the sender is ok and the entire cluster needs to be replaced for around $850. Yikes!!!
Has anyone replaced their cluster with a used 1?
Another option I was thinking about was installing a aftermarket on top of dash real oil pressure gauge.
Please let me know if there are any other options.
Thanks.

I would not pay $850 to fix an Oil pressure gauge...you can buy an Edge for $300 and get your oil pressure reading on it...and allot more...

I would buy a gauge and sending unit adaptor and overall a real working gauge, rather than fix the dummy needle. The stock gauge shows that you simply have pressure, it won't show low pressure. If the gauge hasn't failed, and reads zero, your engine is already dead.

My fx4 cluster was 50 bucks from ebay. I Have a how to write up for haw to replace it. Good luck. Btw that gauge is fake. If oil pressure is above 4 psi the needle just goes to the 2/3 mark.
