Im with the other guy that said, "They THINK?" I would be taking it somewhere else and but be raising hell at that place about paying for a new starter if that didnt fix the problem!

honestly, if it isnt under ford warrenty i dont take it to them! they seem to be very "guessy", they dont know what it is but i think it is this! so i would say if it isnt find a good mechanic since your paying for it anyways, if it is they i gues you dont have a choice unless you want to pay for it... i know a few years ago when my lightning went through 3 trans in 6 weeks!!! it was the dealerships fault, they would rebuild it under warrent and it would go for a few hundred miles and bam nothing! they said i was abusing it and got mad when i said "damn right, its a 400hp truck meant to race it, and if you would learn how to rebuild it wouldnt break" after the 3rd one, ford sent the nearest svt team to that dealership and the combed the truck for the issue, check ballabce on drive shaft, checked the crank, come to find out it was the computer it had gone crazy and it was making the trans pump run full time all the time, so at idle it was like i was at full throttle, at that point i refused to take it to ford for anything
