I'm a fit carpenter who has driven ford trucks exclusively since the 70's, and always found them to be very comfortable, with bench seats. I bought a new f-150 reg. cab in 06 and have put on 40,000k of pain. The seat on this truck is uncomfortable beyond words, it has pressure points in the seat that are crippling me. I have never had back problems except after driving this truck even for short distances. It has also caused a frozen shoulder and neck pain. I realize this sounds unbeleivable to some, but I stopped driving this truck for some 9 months due to the pain. I took some chiropractic and physiotherpy and was well on the way to recovery, so decided to try the ford again. After 1 week and less than 500k all the symptons are coming back. Has anyone had success in changing the seats? I think it is problematic with the integral seat belts and the associated airbag engagement. A couple other complaints are, lack of visibility with so many unnecessary blind spots and the box which is too high to work out of. Ford trucks have gone backwards and this will be my last purchase of them.

man im sorry to hear that!! i have an 06 xlt and i love the truck and think its perfect for me anyway. i had afew fords and this is the best yet i had a 86 f150 with the straight 6 and still have my 89 lariat and i had an 00 ranger and byfar my 06 is my favorite truck ive owned yet!!
