2006 5.4l scab noob questions
Hello Friends, I recently purchased a 06 5.4L scab and I am very happy with it so far. The previous owner made some modifications to it such as a 2" lift and a K&M (I think) intake. The truck tends to bog down a bit when I accelerate and seems to lack that umf that I would expect. Aside from general tune-up, can anybody give some ideas on how to remedy this? Thanks!

Absolutly. Put a factory intake back on it, run some techron fuel system cleaner thru it, ita always a good idea doing a tune up on a used vehicle, (plugs/cop insulators&springs/maf sensor and tb cleaning and a fuel filter) and if you want some more mpg and power, edge evo programmer and update it to the gryphon tune. Id explain in depth all of these things, but there are multiple and multiple threads about all of these topics on here, just go through the search. Have fun my freind!

So, based on your advice, I have a stock intake coming in the mail soon and will probably bolt it on this weekend. Will the computer need to be reset in order to accept the new intake or will the changes take effect automatically?

Save the COP's/plug replacement for last, and hope the bog issue clears with the cheaper recommended changes. Even doing the COP/plug replacement yourself, good quality OEM COPS and plugs will set you back quite a bit of coin. Be very careful of cheaper COPS, as they have been known to fail early.
OEM is the best way to go on this.
