Question 2006 5.4 injector problems

I have a 2006 XLT 5.4L F-150. I paid over 600.00 last year to replace 2 injectors and clean the injection system at +/- 60,000 miles. Truck now has 75,000 miles and is starting to run rough again. Does anyone know if there is an injector cleaner I can treat the fuel with?

Default Injector Problems 5.4L 3V Engines

Dec 07 Ford released Customer Satisfaction Program 07M08 for 05 models only.

The fule injectors may stick open/closed position. Ford extented warranto to 11 yrs or 120,000 mi.

My 06 has the same problem, Ford would NOT acknowledge the problem in the 06 models.

All 5.4L 3V Triton motor owners, we need to start calling FORD Customer Service and get them to acknowledge that the 06 motor has the same problem. These things are not cheap, and they can cause a lot of damage. I plan of seeing if the part numbers on my 06 match the injectors in the 05 model.

AND I want all 06 Triton 5.4L 3V owners who are having problems to start calling Ford and requesting a review of the 06 injectors. Tell them about the 07M08 Service Program, and describe the same issues. Because it is the same problem!

Let's get FORD to fix the problem!

Default injectors

my dealer told me that I did not know what I was talking about. Injectors don't just go bad. The dealer had my truck for 2 days, gave it back to me with a broken rod and a seized motor and told me it was my fault. The injector #7 failed open. Costing me $10K for rebuilt motor and labor. I asked to have all the injectors replaced. Heard some discussion that the fuel rail will clog almost closed.

Default 2006 F-150 Injector Problems

I noticed several other posts concerning injector problems on 2006 5.4s. I have had to replace 4! First one was at 16K. Next one was last July at 36,300 just over warranty, $360! Last Saturday our plans were to take the ATVs up to the mountains. Luckily (I guess) we didn’t make it out of town before the engine started to act funny, running very rough and smelling of fuel and exhaust. I pulled into a parking lot and shut it down and started checking things out. Didn’t find anything and then planned on driving it to the dealer, wouldn’t start, so ended up towing it to the dealer. The service department said it had two bad injectors. One being stuck open! $680+ dollars and I get it back. I am calling Ford to file a complaint. There are other site posts about the 2006s…looks like I will trade it in!
