2005 power window issues

Window goes down but not up..
I replaced the master switch 2 times and it would fix the driver window for about a week then it would only go down again and not up. The master switch worked for the rest of the windows though so would it be the window motor or the regulator don't want to be buying both.. any idea please let me know..

No need to cut the boot on a 2005 model; they can be pulled out from each side (cab and door) with a small amount of effort, exposing the wires inside.
I would search the web for the color codes for the wires that are used for the windows, as the wire loom may also include the power outside mirror if you have that option.
For anyone else that searches this thread in the future, the 2004 to 2005 models have the wires going through the cab to the door within these door rubber boots; on 2006 and newer, the rubber boot has a plug on the side that connects to the cab.
