Had the truck about 6 months. Replaced bulb and even the housing when I purchased because there was glass inside the unit. Now that the bulb blew again, I have come to realize the glass is from the bulb and not the housing I had previously thought. I checked all wires throughout the harnesses, etc. No splicing evident anywhere. I did put dielectric grease this time within the wiring of the snap connector. Hopefully this will fix a water connection between wires. I don't know. Am I the only one this has happened to?

did you make sure both harness connections are clean and dry before greasing them?

it sounds like water is getting into the lamp and when it hits the hot bulb, it explodes...this i have heard of, but now with f150's

Water would be my guess too. I had a 96 gt and the plastic fog lamp fixture cracked around where you plug the harness in and everytime it rained the lamps would not blow but literally explode.
