I just replace the engine on my 5.4 3v with a remanufactures 5.4 and it ran great for 3 weeks then suddenly on the highway 2800rpm truck started misfiring, with code P0303. I replaced the coil and the plug on cylinder #3 and still no difference. I hooked up my scan tool and looked at the VVT and no action on bank 1 only see action on bank 2. Somebody please help me out here.

I recently went through a misfire as well, however I replaced all 8 plugs and so far so good. How are the boots/springs looking on your coils? Have you checked the fuel module near the spare tire lately? Fuel filter? ... a small search will turn up a bunch of different suggestions and info. Good luck.

What was new and what was old on the motor you swapped in ? What about #3 injector.. wires to cop and injector ?
