Yup,
essentially a small aluminum block you put inside the tightest fitting phaser vane,
get a tune from livernois to keep the CEL from coming on at higher RPM, which is where the phaser adjusted the valve timing.

Here is a picture.

As for advantages.... you don't have to worry about doing the phaser job again,

Disadvantages...livernois claims you can lose up to 20 HP on top end, but I don't give a rats a** about that, it's a truck.

And the tune they sent me actually bump up my rpm shift points to about 5200 and tranny shifts into OD at a lower rpm while cruising, and my mileage actually went up.

Not sure if everyone has had the same results but that's what I have experienced.
