Default 2005 F150 lariat remote start not working

Have a 2005 screw lariat. Remote start work fine up until about a week ago. It's a dealer installed Ford P/N 2W7J-19G367-AA Remote start with RKE.

When I press the lock button on the remote followed by the start button, I hear relays clicking in the dash and the dome lights light and fade, light and fade four times.

Is it a faulty PATS device of what? The dealer wants $100 just to call his outside guy to come look at it.

Any help would be appreciated.

John

Default same problem 2005 FX4 with same module

just got the truck - worked in the used car lot - tried to remote start by hitting the lock on the remote and then the start - i hear some relays go, including perhaps the fuel pump pull in briefly (under the cab) - tries this 4 times but no start. If i pull the module out to check the fuses will I have to reprogram? Can you send along the programming instructions?

thanks

You will NOT have to reprogram. It sounds like the ignition fuse in the brain module. That's what mine was. Shoot me an email jlem525@gmail.com i'll attach the instructions.

Look under the dash. Behind the knee panel below the steering wheel. You should find it there.
