Strange, I have never had to take the battery off yet but my brother in law had to do the relearn after his plug change. It idled like crap before he did the relearn.

Hmm, I just had the battery unhooked on my 07 Expedition for 2 days to replace the fuel pump (waited on Rockauto), hooked it all back up and perfect. Same with when I did my trucks plugs and even a dead battery when it sat for a day. Never an issue.

If it works it works. I've done it without the relearn and you can tell it is learning as it goes. It should trim itself over time.

And yes I pulled the batt.

Does the power steering really have a sensor?
Should I change my o2 sensor before it starts throwing codes?
I don't think my truck has od cancel either...
