Default 2005 F150 Gauges shudder during start up. HELP

When I start my f150 the gauges shudder/bounce then return to normal after 5 seconds. Can anyone tell me what the problem or solution is?

Check your battery. Mine did that when my battery was on its way out.

Turns out the battery was way too small for the truck, but that's a different story...

Haha when I bought my used 2001 Montero limited I came to find out it had a Lawn Mower Battery in it? I was thoroughly confused, and a lot of gauges didn't work.

I just made a post about this! everybody said battery, one guy said it was his alternator. Is it cold where you are? that seems to be a big factor. Mine was doing this the past 2 days when it was high 20s but today it was upper 30s and i had no problem. my radio was also acting funny and it felt like it was just a little harder to start. I'd say get a new battery soon cuz this one sounds like its on it's way out.

Exactly. The used stealership I bought it from threw a 650 cca battery in my truck. Smoked thru that in about a month.

I bought mine from a used car lot in Alexandria, Va. I asked to take the truck home for the night and see if it'd pass MD state inspection. Got the truck in the air and went through every square inch of it. For once i was happy with a dealership.

just thought I'd share a positive story.
