Default 2005 F150 Exhaust

so I want a loud exhaust.. I want it to have a deep loud idle.. but i dont want something that im gonna get pulled over every 5 minutes.. I was thinking straight piped with no cats? What do ya'll think.

Don't you have vehicle inspections in N Carolina? If so, no cats won't pass. You can do high flow cats and a cat back. If they don't do emissions testing in your state you could gut the cats and put a pipe straight through them so it looks like you have cats.

Look at Borla exhausts, they are rather nasty sounding. (in a good way)

Yes we have them in NC lol, but people here will pass just about anything... just do long tube headers.... or just do a full catback with flowmasters.. or something simular plenty loud enough

That's what I thought. Mom lives up there and I though I remembered her mentioning having to get her car inspected when she moved up there. I have been thinking about an off road Y pipe for mine (already have a cat back), but we don't have emissions or vehicle inspection in FL.

my buddy has a tuner and it tell's the inspection people that he has cat's when he really dosent.

cutting the cats off is such a bad idea... and it doesn;t sound right.. do it correctly do long tubes or shorties... and do a catback system or true duals with flowmasters
