Default 2005 F150 2wd lift kit?

I was searching around on amazon looking for a 6 inch lift kit for a 2005 f150 2wd. Places want close to 1600 dollars for the lift and i looked on amazon and saw they have the component box that has everything except the rear shocks. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? or is it better to buy it all as one kit. I just don't want to toss down the extra $1000 when i shouldn't have to. Here is the one i was looking at:
Amazon.com: Fabtech FTS22014BK Component Box: Automotive Amazon.com: Fabtech FTS22014BK Component Box: Automotive

Thanks in advance

Seems a bit on the expensive side. Check this one out. The component boxes aren't a bad thing. I used one on my 4wd. I wouldn't say I saved many because I changed almost every piece of my suspension at the same time. But you can get a component box and throw some shocks on there and save a good amount.

So when you ordered that component box mudking, did it come with everything except the shocks, or were there still some parts you needed

Is a component box basically just a body lift?

Depending on which one you get. You may need a couple of finishing pieces and some finishing work. It didn't come with rear shocks and you may need to take your old springs off of your stock struts and put them on the ones that come with the kits. Possibly extended brake lines. But as far as I remember I didn't need anything else

The kit I posted doesn't come with front struts. So it may be more worth while to go with the kit you found. That will save you some hassle. Unless you want to buy new front shocks all together, but that will run you almost a thousand dollars for some good ones. Go with the kit you found and take your struts to a shop so they can compress your old springs onto the new struts.

I was doing some more research online and read from sfx performance the spindles don't come with the component box. Does Fabtech make different component boxes of the same part?
I just can't see why they would charge and extra 600 dollars to buy it all as a kit. it almost seems to good to be true

What are these "spindles" you speak of. Granted I've only done lift kits on 4 wheel drives. But I imagine the process is much the same. If it's what I think your thinking off. It's the front wheel bearings. You simply take out your old ones off your stock steering knuckles and bolt them into the new ones that come with the component box.

But I see the kit you posted that is not how it is? I would need to see a picture of your front suspension set up to tell you what you would need.
