Default 2005 5.4 liter ticking

i have a 2005 5.4 liter and have a ticking that fluctuates with engine speed. it seems to be coming from the passenger side under the egine. Hard to pinpoint it, it seems to be reverberating through the dual exhaust. any suggestions?

Take it to the dealer and ask if it sounds like your cam phasers are going out.
Also search " CAM PHASERS", it's a pretty serious issue.

Is the noise real quiet or not there when you first start it up and then get louder as it warms up? And does it go away at 1200 rpms? If so you have more than likely have bad camphasers.

And their answer will be, well sure, give me $3000.
