Default Need Help ASAP- Lisle tool for spark plugs

Well only 4 plugs out and already 2 broken . Can someone please tell me where I can get the Lisle Broken Spark Plug remover tool in Washington State? I need this truck back on the road as I don't have a back-up vehicle. Changing plugs on my '00 V-10 was way easier.
Thanks in advance,
Darrell

Just an update. I found the Lisle tool at O'reiley's auto. I'll be pulling the broken spark plugs out tomorrow.

Good for you. I couldnt find it at my local orielly's. I ended up buying one online for about 80, and waited until I got the tool to replace them. I was about the same position. Ended up breaking 5, but all came out with ease with that tool. GL

Here's a link I found online. They aren't pretty colored like this one :-) If you need better pics I can take pics of mine.

That's good to know. I called NAPA yesterday and they said they don't carry them. Them wing-nuts. How much are they at NAPA?

Default 5.4 spark plug removal

I have studied this spark plug problem with the 5.4 engines and thought I would post this info.

Also found all the tools and the plugs on Amazon.com for less money.

I'll be using the Champion plugs when I replace them this spring. Better than motorcraft anyway. Ford is out of their minds if they think I would keep plugs in any engine more than 20,000 miles. If they break when I take them out, no big deal. I'v had them break before. I'll get them out.

If you are not mechanically inclined...DO NOT ATTEMPT to take them out. take it a dealer and have them do it...no, visegrips won't get em out either.
