2005 with 5.4 cranks but won't start. died while driving
While driving the other day my fx4 made a weird noise. Kinda grinding maybe. Was hard to tell and then died on me. Pulled over and tried to start it but would just turn. Battery pseemed to go dead quickly while trying. Towed it home abecause I had tto work tthat night aand didn't mess with it for a couple days. I charged the battery and plugged in my diagnostic scanner and got codes for camshaft position psensors for both banks. I replaced them both aand tried to start it and still wouldn't start but would try to crank. Sounded weak like it was skipping and the battery seemed to die fast. I still got the camshaft position sensor codes again with the new ones. Up until it died the truck was running great. It has 120,000 miles on it now and about 5,000 miles ago I replaced the cam phasers, vct solenoids, timing chains, guides and tensioners, injectors, plugs, cops and oxygen sensors. A timing chain tensioner had gone bad aand was causing the driver side chain tto slap. Since the repairs it has ran great until it died. Any help would abe greatly appreciated.

Start methodical diagnosis - fault codes don't always point you in the right place.
Check oil level and pressure is okay during cranking
Compression test all cylinders
confirm chains are okay, tight and timing hasn't slipped
Plugs are tights
Fuel system is good
Electrical connections
Something has happened to that timing set up somewhere, so try to diagnose it rather than guess which bit it could be.

Thank you all for the responses. Took it to Ford Saturday. Going to let them diagnose it and call me. They said 123$ for the diagnostic fee. So I'll let them figure it out and tell me how much they will charge to fix it. If tthey are outrageous like I expect I'll fix it myself but figure they can do the figuring out for me

It ran great for over five thousand miles after the other work is what makes me think it's something with the cam. Kinda thought it could be that at first but wanted to keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions and throw money into it
