Default 2005 4.6 shutting off while running

i can be just running down the road or just setting there idling and it will shut off.turn the key off and back on and it will start right back up but only run for a few seconds or mins and shut right back off.after a awhile of triing it and leaving it set for about 30min to a hr it will run.it has thrown a check engine light which the code is 2107 which the stealer ship told me to replace the whole throttle body with the 2 sensors which are the throttle actuator, and tps i believe.so i did and after running a couple trips which was about a half of tank of fuel its doing it again.it doesn't throw the light right away it takes a few times before it does and now is showing the same code again (2107).has anybody had this problem? and if so please help.thanx

did you unhook the battery when installing the new sensors? did you follow the manual exactly when doing it? use new screws? torqued to 27 in. lbs?

i unhooked the battery and torqued the 4 bolts.just wondering if its throwing the code because its shutting off while running.i'm thinking of just replacing the crank sensor and see if that fixes it.it seems like what ever it is when it cools down it runs fine but when its ran for awhile and gets hot thats when it does it.what a headache its been!

As a ford tech I probably would have recommened the T/b also, but take a second look at the air cleaner housing the foam tape that goes around the door of the air filter tray if it is gone or fallen apart take some weatherstrip and replace it also make sure that you seated your t/b snorkel all the on and tight disconnect the battery for ten minutes the re try it...
good luck

The code means that the throttle body actuator is dying. You have a drive by wire system and the actuator at the TB is going south. Replacement is the only fix. Hopefully you still have some warranty left. This seems to be a common failure with the YM 2005.

might not be the right thing but my fix was that i traded it on fusion.no use to keep a truck that i can't depend on going anywhere in that it might just shut off!

One of the original posts indicated that this problem may be associated with the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).

Is the sensor integrated with the T/B or can this be replaced separately?
