Default 2004 low oil pressure Not Starting

Truck will start and immediatly die . low oil presure comes on after it has stopped. Tried changing oil and new pressure switch. Then ran a manuel pressure test and it was fine. Could it be problem with fuel system that is making it die and go to low oil pressure? Help

Problem started when I started truck in mornig , it seemed to idol higher than normal for a few seconds and came back down drove it and I was sitting at an idol for about 5 minutes and started to die. Gave it gas and drove home fine.let it idol and died out on me . Cranked it up started to die and progressively got worse to what it is doing now

The gauge is only an idiot gauge. As long as there is some pressure, can't remember what the exact PSI is, (somewhere around 2-10 psi) the gauge will show pressure. It's only a on-off type gauge. You need to hook up an actual mechanical gauge to figure out the actual pressure whick sounds like you did. What was the PSI at cold start up and what was the PSI at 2000RPM after the oil is up to temp? You may have codes even if the CEL is not on.

Have you checked the FPDM on the frame by the spare? Hard to say what it could be without getting some codes.
