I have the same sound on my '06 F150 Lariat w/ the 5.4L.
I just found this video on Youtube and I might give this a try because it definitely sounds like "styrofoam on styrofoam" squeaking as you drive.
I'm not saying this is the cure, but at this point, like you, I'm getting frustrated with tracking this sound to it's source. I hope this helps us both.
I can only tell my kids it's a stowaway canary for so long...they're becomming suspicious
