Default 2004 Ford F150 Violently shaking, very loud and wont go over 50MPH

I have taken my truck to different people and each person says something different. the truck starts up shaking like hell and idles like that as well. when you drive it the shaking calms down but it is so loud you cant hear your self speak and then if you try to go over 50 the whole cab shakes and im really scared to drive it. i has been sitting im my drive way for the past month and people are telling me that it is the cam phaser, others say valves and possible a vacuum hose. and then you have exhaust manifold leak but i checked that and its fine!! please help i want to drive my truck again!!

you more likely got a valve problem. had a similar experience. similar knocking and pings. found out it was my cam. replaced both and chain. 4 months later could not get above 50 nor climb a small inclined hill. Took it to ford dealership and then they told me cylinder 5 was shot and didn't know why. wanted another 500 to look further below the engine, that was the last straw. ended up with a new truck.

First, get the computer scanned and post what trouble codes you have.

Which engine do you have?

How many miles on the engine?

Any recent maintenance?

Any engine modifications from stock?

Last- don't post your question in one long, run-on sentence. Use periods and capitalization. Otherwise, it's difficult to read and understand what you are saying.

Ok. the engine that i have is the 2004 5.4L Triton 3 Valve.

The problem that im having is the truck shakes really bad on start up and idle,

if i try to go over 50 it shakes really really really bad.

when i excellerate it is extremely loud like its gasping for air,

the only engine mod is the cold air intake,

recent maintenance was the new spark plugs and that was to fix the problem in the first place and it didn't work,

I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP

Is your check engine light on? Have you had the computer scanned for trouble codes? If so, what are they? (Post the exact codes you got)

The Check engine light is on and there was one time that it was flashing.

i forget some of the codes but the ones that i remember are a bunch of misfire codes and cam senser codes.

I need the exact codes. The symptoms you describe are consistent with VCT solenoid failure. The oil screens disintegrate and jam the valve, preventing the computer from controlling the cam position.

A flashing check engine light indicates a misfire. Don't keep driving it or you will cause engine damage.

You can get a pair of genuine Ford solenoids for less than $100. You will need 2 seals that are about $13 each. You will need a long (at least 6") T27 Torx screwdriver to change them.
