Default 2004 ford f150 1 quart of oil low

Ok I have an 04 f150 fx4 5.4 triton with almost 149.000 miles. Had the oil changed at 147.000. So it has a little less than 2000 miles on the oil change and its a quart low. I had some quaker state laying around I use motorcraft but quakerstate was all I had and its better than nothing. The truck doesn't smoke that I can tell. Do you guys think I have a leak or something? Its got me kinda worried. Thanks in advanced

First are you sure that it was full after the oil change. second its not unusual for a engine with 150k to use a little oil third watch it and see how it acts in the next 2k I wouldent worry yet

No I'm not sure it wasn't low before. I didn't even check had one of those lube and go places do it. and you wouldn't think it would use a quart at 2k miles.

These engines hold more oil than most.....probably just didn't get the last quart at the quickie-lube. Don't sweat it unless it keeps doing it!

The tolerances are extremely tight in these engines and it is not uncommon to burn throught .5 to 1.5 quarts a month for me depending on temp and what my driving habits are(ie towing, highway travel, or my normal everyday commute) my father is a senior master tech for ford and he said it is normal for these 3v tritons to burn some oil

I agree just take it with a grain of salt and monitor it

Thanks. I just don't want to have to work on I already had the trans rebuilt and I have to take the truck back over there tommarrow since when driving about 50 or higher it makes a bumping noise like your running over those strip deals. And when turning a corner if you give it a lot of gas if feels like it kinda slips. So I'm just going to take in there for that cause I have a 6 month warranty hopefully he fixes it right this time on that lol. And thanks for the anwser

Don't concern yourself with a quart in 2000 miles.
