Default 2004 f150 signal issue

alright so this one has me scratching my head, not that im entirely mechanical anyway. anyway heres to the issue. On a previous road trip, i noticed that my left signal was blinking fast (indicating a burnt out bulb) i checked and all signals are fine. ive been out of town for 6 weeks, truck sat the entire time. once i returned truck was dead( no surprise) i boosted it and went on my way. the truck ran about 30 min and would not start again. i thought perhaps the battery was toast so i replaced and drove home 6 hours without any power issues running headlights and my stereo system which draws a fair bit of power. once the truck sat for about 15 hours it no longer has the power to start. im not sure if the signal is drawing power and thats causing the issue or whether my alternator is no good. any help is greatly appreciated. and i would like to solve both issues if they are seperate. thanks in advance

First and cheapest would be to take to a auto parts store, (autozone, advance) and have them check charging system.

update, i bought a multi-meter and went to boost truck to see the output voltage at the alternator. now after attempting to boost my fuel gauge wont work and truck claims low fuel, the truck has at least 1/2 tank. i used my wifes yaris in the attempt and connected the negative on my trucks side to the frame. im lost here.

truck wouldnt start after being left connected for about 30min

Maybe a rodent chewed some wires while it was sitting?

i planned on it, but i cant get the truck to start. battery is completely dead this am. the flashing dash LED isnt even going. i'm going to take my battery to the shop get it charged, so i can start it and get it running. im reading some articles on the net, they suggest its possibly the alternator. strange as this sounded to me. there is mention of a faulty diode that can cause it to draw power while off
